I'm glad i bought this as it is a brilliant saw for those budding DIYer and also for the tradesman when it comes to cutting wood, plastics, laminates and more, depending on the blades of course. The quick blade change is so easy to get the hang of, just remember to unplug the saw before you do it as your hands are on the blade when you slot it into the housing by lifting the red notch at the front. It has the power to slice through wood and other material. I mainly use wood in my work and this has no trouble slicing through what ever I put in front of it. the footplate is strong, with the easy option of tilting from left to right. The handle has a rubber coating over it which makes gripping it a pleasure with no real hassles with vibrations and the like. The extraction hose fitting is right at the rear which makes it easier to use with the vacuum cleaner hosing not getting in the way of the cutting, which clears the saw dust from the work area. It has the usual trigger at the front underside of the handle with the 'lock on' button just above the trigger. This makes it easy to lock the blade running with just your thumb. So at 0.7mm thickness of tube I would think it would cut the tube, as long as the blade is long enough for the 25mm diam. tube. **Q: Do i need to buy an adapter to attach it to a vacumm cleaner? If yes which one and where can i get it?** A: No adapter is provided with the jigsaw. The extraction nozzle is round, very slightly tapered, and approx 30mm outer diameter at its mid-point; so you need a connector having an inner diameter of 30mm. **Q: the jigsaw has arrived with no blades- is this correct please?** A: Look underneath the jigsaw and you will see a longish red plastic container which forms part of the foot. Slide this out with some difficulty and you will find is is hollow. Open it which takes some fathoming out and you should find two blades hidden in there. Then close it and try and get it back in the foot. Nothing is simple about this task but at least you should only have to do it once as there is loads of room in the case for storing blades. Could do with clearer instructions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well, cuts clean with 530w motor and no splinters with splinter guard *by R***N on 7 September 2025* One of the best jigs saws i have ever purchased. Rated as 4 stars only because Bosch are being a bit mean not including a dust catching bag in the box. The performance of the jig saw is really good. a Strong 530W motor and variable speed via the trigger is great for cutting hard wood, like Mahogany with a Bosch pro blade. The plastic cut guide does need pushing back in occasionally and seems flimsy but to be honest it works well, assuming you keep the front of cut free from the sawdust. Attaching a vacuum to the rear helps but not always practical. Hold the vac head if you can to the front of the cut seems better. Cut 40 mm mahogany like going through butter with a pro Bosch blade. Overall very please and would recommend this model over the cheaper ones.
