It's excruciating. I knew I needed something, but wanted something that would stabilize my wrist without being bulky. This little splint is a keeper. I read reviews talking about it making the web of the hand sore, and it did the first night I wore it. I found that if you loosen it a little it won't cause irritation and it will still provide great support. You can also tighten and loosen it throughout the day according to your activities and support needs or to accommodate any swelling you may have. I wear it pretty much 24/7 with no problems. It's well made, doesn't restrict the fingers, and supports and stabilizes where I need it to. It has 2 side supports running from the thumb down along the top and bottom of the wrist (kind of like a wishbone) which works much better for tendonitis than a plate running down the palm and wrist.
