Package consist's of a number of hermetically sealed 'envelopes' containing 3 string cleaner wipes (no surprise as to how filthy those strings become, especially Round Wounds, YUK), 2 general instrument polishes and finally a neck conditioner wipe (I used it on 4 of my Bass's, before the cloth started to tear apart. I presume it was the fretted guitars which caused the demise of the cloth) which leaves the neck like new! If the neck is made from maple (such as maple, maple that had been varnished or burnt maple) do not put any conditioner on it. It will cause the fretboard to swell and will cause your frets to be uneven. This is because maple likes to hold onto the oils And moisture and it doesn’t get out of the wood easily. If it’s made from rosewood or ebony then you can condition it but only very lightly as too much can cause the fret board to swell a lot and that would run your frets. **Q: Can anyone confirm whether or not these actually can be used on a maple fretboard or not?** A: Maple fretboards are usually varnished. Using EB wipes wont damage it but isnt really what its designed for as the oils will not be able to penetrate the varnish. **Q: will these be ok for maple fretboards?** A: Don’t condition maple fretboards. **Q: Will it be okay to use this on my Telecaster? The neck is maple with a satin finish on the back** A: I only bought the string cleaner. I would not advise you to use it on a maple neck or satin body because it has not specified that it can be used on maple /satin.
