## Description

From the manufacturer Epoxy Putty HighHeat is a hand-mixable epoxy putty stick specifically formulated to bond and repair materials that will be exposed to high temperatures in automotive and industrial maintenance applications. It cures to a tough, hard bond with little to no shrinkage. This industrial-strength product outperforms conventional epoxy putties at high temperatures and sents in 1 hour at room temperature. After 8 hours it can be drilled, tapped, machined, ground, filed and painted. HighHeat is rated at a tensile strength of 800 PSI and cures to a machine grey in color. It is able to withstand continuous heat exposure of 450°F and intermittent heat exposure of 500°F.

Review: The good quality epoxy pytty - I found this very easy to use due ro easy instructions, as you only the amount required for use to be applied. Like the instructions say you have to knead the putty like working dough between your hands so that the outer darker area of is mixed with the inner lighter part of the putty to activate it before applyito to the surface area, but you must prepare the surface to with some sandpaper and clean it to make sure the putty has good surface to work with in the end. Once done it states it takes 8hrs for it to completely cure meaning you can even drill or sand it afterwards, if need be. I did find the i was able to shape it to plug the hole in pipe while while smearing it around the pipe, as to make sure it worked like a bandage to prevent tye potential of exhaust’s gas pressure being able to blow it anytime in the future. I wore rubber gloves while applying the putty with my hands which made it a lot easier to work seeing it can dry within 2hrs which means you can tell its just starting to thicken a little while still being mailable to continue shaping to surface area meantime. Remember, its up to 2hrs to drying but 8hrs to completely cure before being able to drill or sand it.

**Q: Why should I pick this product when the J-B Weld Original Epoxy Adhesive has a higher temperature limit at half the price?**
A: The original jb weld is great for bonding things together and at high temps too! But if you are using it to repair, say a hole in an exhaust for example - the original jb weld is too thin and will also crack with vibration after a while. The high heat putty is great for filling a hole and moulding to how you want it and It is also easier to work with. It is flexible and wont crack and is especialy for continuous high temp too.

**Q: Could this be used to stick a heating element in a microwave oven.**
A: Definitely NOT!  Tried in in a siimilar situation.  DReadful fumes given off.

**Q: Would it work to fix/glue a broken pan support for a gas hob?**
A: I wouldn't think so, as it is poxy resin I don't think it would stand the constant heat from a gas flame. If repair is simply for esthetics and not use then it's worth a try. Good luck.

**Q: can this be used to patch a small leak under a petrol tank on a classic motorcycle..?**
A: Hello - no its bot suitable for that purpose, you need a specialised product for that job

Had a small hole in our hall radiator. I was skeptical to tell the truth. Hallelujah, it actually worked. Sealed the hole, no problem. Over a year now since I did the repair. Still no leak. Once the putty sets, it goes rock hard. Handy stuff to have in the tool box. Highly recommended..
