We have redesigned and reengineered the seat rails to allow clearance for the box without having to use spacers between the seat rails and the seat frame. There is no headroom lost. We provide new seat brackets that install in the floor under the carpet to allow for the one long compartment. There is another company that makes a box that you have to put spacers under the seats that raises the rear seat 3 1/2 inches. Ours does not utilize the spacers.
