So if you're making hand sanitizer, when you add an equal amount of Aloe vera gel to the alcohol it cuts the alcohol percent in half, so ~50% alcohol. That's why you buy the percentage of alcohol so high. If you start with 70% alcohol instead of 99% alcohol, when you add an equal part of Aloe vera gel (or whatever you are using), the alcohol percentage gets cut in half and you have only a 35% alcohol strength sanitizer, MUCH too low to be effective at killing any germs, or Coronavirus. **Q: Is this really 99% isopropyl alcohol? I’m looking for substitute for technical use “expensive electronics” that would be damaged. Is 99% true?** A: Craig is not technically correct and I doubt they know if it’s actually 99%. 70% would be fine for electronics so that’s not good reasoning. **Q: what is this used for? Please list its application** A: We are contacting you in regards to your feedback as we are the manufacturer of this item. 99% isopropyl alcohol is used to clean surfaces and also to prevent infection from minor surface wounds like scrapes and cuts. **Q: What is the other 1% of the product if there are no inert ingredients? I would like the manufacturer to answer.** A: We are contacting you in regards to your feedback as we are the manufacturer of this item. The inert ingredient is water. ## Frequently Bought Together - ForPro Professional Collection 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA), Pure & Unadulterated Concentrated Alcohol, 32 Fl Oz (960ml) - ForPro Professional Collection 100% Pure Acetone, Professional Nail Polish Remover for Natural, Artificial, Acrylic, and Sculptured Nails, Removes Gel Polish, Glue, and Glitter, 16 fl. oz. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/47045483-forpro-99-isopropyl-alcohol-ipa-32oz-pure-and-unadulterated-alcohol](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/47045483-forpro-99-isopropyl-alcohol-ipa-32oz-pure-and-unadulterated-alcohol) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
