Featuring a passive airflow design and versatile mounting options, it ensures accurate temperature, humidity, and lightning detection readings while withstanding outdoor conditions. Includes all necessary hardware for quick installation on poles or flat surfaces. ## Description The Ambient Weather WH31-SRS passive solar radiation shield is specifically designed to house the WH31E temperature / humidity sensor, WH31P waterproof probed thermometer, and WH31L Lightning Detector. The radiation shield allows airflow while protecting the sensor from the elements and the effects of solar radiation. Mount the WH31-SRS to any Ambient Weather Mounting Hardware (1.25" OD), vertical surface or horizontal surface using the included hardware: screws and anchors for wood, stucco, or drywall and U-bolts for pole mounting up to 1.25” outer diameter. Specifications: Solar Radiation Shield dimensions: 6.125" x 2.75" diameter Bracket dimensions: ~7" Long x 2.125" Wide x 1.75" High Includes: screws and anchors for wood, stucco, or drywall or U-bolts for pole mounting up to 1.25" diameter Review: Great Upgrade for More Accurate Temperature Readings - This radiation shield is solid, well made, and took just a few minutes to install. As you can see in my first photo, I mounted it on my weather station with no issues. The second photo shows the sensor reporting back to my Ambient Weather console. The shield does exactly what it’s supposed to do by helping reduce direct solar heating of the sensor, making the temperature readings more reliable. If you already have an Ambient Weather station, I’d definitely recommend adding one. P.S. If you’re wondering about the cloud in my first photo… I can neither confirm nor deny that it was part of a classified weather modification test. 🤫😂 Review: Awesome build quality. - Very well built, easy openable to change batteries in sensors. It will either mount to a wall or it will either mount on a pole. It looks like it should function as described. ## Features - Includes 1 solar radiation shield and mounting hardware (screws & anchors, U-bolt) - Allows airflow for proper sensor readings while protecting sensor from the elements - Compatible with Ambient Weather WH31E, WH31P, and WH31L sensors - Mounts to any Ambient Weather mounting hardware (1.25 in diameter) and flat vertical or horizontal surface - Shield measures 6.125 x 2.75 (diameter) in with the bracket measuring 7 x 2.125 x 1.75 in ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09T4QDBN3 | | Additional Features | Thermometer | | Are batteries included? | No | | Brand | Ambient Weather | | Brand Name | Ambient Weather | | Color | White | | Connectivity Technology | USB, Ethernet | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 187 Reviews | | Display Type | no display | | Finish Type | Glossy | | Included Components | Screws | | Is Used Where | Outdoor | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 4.4D x 5.4W x 17.8H centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.26 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Ambient Weather | | Material | Wood | | Material Type | Wood | | Model | WH31-SRS | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | WH31-SRS | | Power Source | Solar Powered | | Power source | Solar Powered | | Recommended Uses For Product | Home | | Recommended uses for product | Home | | Sensor Technology | Passive | | Shape | Rectangular | | Special features | Thermometer | | Specific Uses For Product | Humidity | | Specific uses for product | Humidity | | Style Name | Modern | | Temperature Accuracy | 1.11 degrees Celsius | | Temperature Reading Accuracy | plus_minus_1_point_1_degrees_celsius | | UPC | 816982018885 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ambient Weather - **Power source:** Solar Powered - **Recommended uses for product:** Home - **Special features:** Thermometer - **Specific uses for product:** Humidity ## Images ![WH31-SRS Solar Radiation Shield w/Bracket for WH31E, WH31P and WH31L Sensors - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21GdV+RBvVL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this work with the WS-2801A sensor?** A: Yes it works with the sensor that comes with the ws-2801a.
