This is critically important for several reasons: (1) The toe box is on the smaller side, so on the ascent it’s not a problem, but on any steep descent you might find it super uncomfortable on the toes. If you’re 10.5, buy an 11. (2) Sock choice becomes difficult because while the ankles might be supported with your normal size, the toes might be cramped in the narrow design. If ordered a half size larger you might find the sock okay for the toe box but looser at the ankle, making it easier to rub or slip out. All in all the shoe is very comfortable on the sole, with adequate ankle support, but I was disappointed in the toe box.
