I am doing the sample pack and the first one I tried I had build up and needed to use apple cider vinegar. When applied directly to wet hair, it really works. It's a little weird to get used to the feeling of rubbing a bar of soap on your head, but I got used to it very quickly. **Q: Is the sweet&spicy a stong smell? I detest ginger, but this seems better than the pink for my flat oily hair.** A: You won't notice a ginger smell at all. There's a very slight spicy smell as you use it, but the scent doesn't linger. I have an oily scalp and this is bar has worked the best for giving me light and fluffy hair. My advice is to lather the bar in your hands and apply the suds to your scalp with your fingertips rather than rubbing the bar directly on your head. I really love this shampoo for travel - handy and compact for international travel, and lasts enough washes for any trip you intend to take. I wash my hair daily and a bar lasts around 2 months.
