It is not inexpensive, but it is an excellent value for my use case. It has an incredibly bright front light, which I use on dark streets, corridors, etc. My most common use is the side light, which is perfect for reading small-fonted menus in dimly-lit restaurants. In every way, it is superior to my iPhone flashlight, which causes my entire family to groan when I use it to read a menu, possibly because it has become a cliched symbol of middle-age ocular deterioration, or because the iPhone’s dimmest setting is brighter than the dimmest setting on the RovyVon. I also use the red, quick-flashing light when I’m walking on a road at night. It’s miniscule and easily fits in even a small pocket so you’ll actually take it out and use it.
