I've had this, and the same case in a different color for my other Macbook, for a few months now with daily usage. No damage at all, very well made. I suggest getting a darker color as the lighter ones tend to look dirty. For reference - I originally purchased the rose quartz, then went back and bought the wine red color for my newer laptop. I've gotten a lot of compliments. :) Also, I've noticed a lot of the bad reviews complain that it "doesn't fit." It fits perfectly, the bottom isn't made to connect to the top piece when closed because you would literally be unable to open it if that were the case. Only the hinge is exposed on the bottom which is not a big deal at all.
