Very flexible - can have flood, beam or red light at any intensity, the controls are comprehensive so with a bit of practice you'll get the full benefit of the various modes. The "tap the side for full brightness" is genius, and there's a set of blue LEDs to show you how much battery is left when you turn the lamp off. Very powerful beam. Red light brilliant for not dazzling others while you're working. Works fine with rechargeable AAAs. Priced perfectly as a balance between function and expense for most users. Has been useful for DIY and for changing a wheel miles from any streetlights. Fabulous as a general camping accessory, where the flood light is useful for general illumination. Takes very little space in a bag. Feels well made and durable. Recommended.

These are terrific little head torches. Very flexible - can have flood, beam or red light at any intensity, the controls are comprehensive so with a bit of practice you'll get the full benefit of the various modes.
