I do quite a bit of editing of numbers and dates and was looking for a way to stop taking my hand off the mouse. It also has some shortcuts that help make things easier like it auto pulls the calculator. It has a tab key as well as an escape key. Perixx responses did not differentiate between wired and wireless models, so it seems their explanation applies to either version. Makes sense because the wireless version has separate USB receivers. Ergonomics: This keyboard lacks some of the standard features of most ergonomic keyboards. The wrist rest is hard plastic instead of cushioned. The keys are oddly spaced out and quite compact. I realize this is a compact keyboard, but I guess I thought that was just because the number pad was detached. Odds and Ends: The number pad is curiously thick and clunky looking. Like a calculator from the eighties. There is no windows key. Anyway, I am typing this review on the keyboard to try it out. Thought I might change my mind after using it for a little bit of writing.
