Haven't had a chance to test out 3.2 gen 2x2 speed, 800-1000MBps. The cache seems to be around 5GB. It is lightning fast to about that amount and then slows down to about 80MBps if the file is bigger than 5GB. Based on info on the web, that is normal. When uploading big video files to it, it gets very warm but not unreasonably hot. Happy with it so far. If one is looking for a bigger cache, nvme's in a usb enclosure is the way to go. Movespeed has a flash drive with a much bigger cache but it is more expensive. For the price the Kingston datatraveler is great. All drives are slower when uploading many small files to it.
