Review: POTENTIAL LIFE SAVERS, LITERALLY. - This is going to be a long review since I’m pretty passionate about my increased quality of life as a result of these, so hopefully this can provide insight into how these can help others in similar situations (though they’re a pretty self-explanatory and common sense product). I also need to open this with the footnote that my dogs are NOT aggressive (they’re really the opposite), so I will not be able to speak on the efficacy of these muzzles with regards to protecting yourself or others from an aggressive dog. I also haven’t experienced a lot of barking with the muzzles, so I won’t be speaking on that either. Where these muzzles are potential life savers for my dogs are with their anti-scavenging design, which prevents my dogs from eating anything and everything they can find on the ground outside specifically. My dogs have always been light scavengers at best, picking up little wood chips, sticks, food scraps, etc., but over the past year or so it’s devolved into something that has pretty drastically decreased my enjoyment of taking them on walks or just outside in general. They are now chronically looking to eat anything they can get in their mouths, including poop, larger sticks, dirt, leaves, as well as more lethal objects like rocks, plastic, small pieces of metal (like a metal barrette), etc. (the latter objects being my main point of concern for obvious reasons). I have spoken to vets about this change in behavior and there isn’t an underlying or immediate cause for concern, so I just needed to just try to sway them from continuing to do so (since they likely just got in the habit of doing this and need to unlearn it). It all came to a climax when my mini golden doodle got ahold of a ball of food-waste Saran Wrap hidden in the grass (so I didn’t notice it until she already had it in her mouth), and this led to a very expensive emergency clinic visit involving inducing vomiting to retrieve the plastic. They were unable to find the plastic and we were all convinced I had just misunderstood what I saw her eat, until SEVERAL weeks later when the Saran Wrap finally successfully passed through her digestive system in its entirety and came out the other side. To say we were all shocked was an understatement, and more than anything we felt incredibly lucky that it didn’t cause fatal intestinal blockage. This was my final straw, and I knew this outdoor behavior needed to come to an end. I decided to give these cage muzzles a try since their open design meant there was no restriction of air flow, and the design also meant they were able to pant freely without me needing to worry about them overheating when out on walks in the summer. The sizing in the product descriptions seems pretty reliable as well, as they fit my dogs’ snouts very well. They seem very high quality and I’m not worried about them breaking or deteriorating any time soon. The straps are very easy to adjust to your dog’s head as well, so you can get a perfect fit. They didn’t love the sensation of the muzzles at first and tried taking them off during the first wear, but by the second and third time wearing them it had already become second nature for them and they seemed to completely ignore the muzzles altogether. Most importantly, THEY WORK. There’s a center piece of caging that runs vertically in front of their mouth that prevents them from picking up objects on the ground, even if they try their best to get ahold of it. I can take them outside and let them roam freely and sniff around and I don’t have to worry about them eating things they shouldn’t that are out of my line of sight. I still watch them closely as always, but the amount of weight that has been taken off my shoulders knowing we can focus on enjoying our walks, exercise, and exploration/enrichment has made a night and day difference in my everyday life. Knowing my dogs can enjoy the outdoors again without unknowingly ingesting something that could cause serious health complications has unexpectedly been one of the greatest gifts in recent memory. If you’re experiencing scavenging problems with your dog(s) like I have, I would highly recommend trying these muzzles out (or “masks” as I like to call them, since “muzzle” can sound aggressive sometimes). I will be excitedly using these without fail every time we go outside.
Review: This product works very well, just keep a few things in mind. - You need to understand that this device isn't going to be a "fix" to your dog's behavior, but rather it's a tool to help aid it. I say this because I have a medium sized red nose pit mix, who is 40 pounds and very muscular for her size. She's a very sweet girl, but unfortunately her animal instinct is too strong for us to be able to control her completely. I've done my best to train her and she is a very good listener, but the moment something brings out that canine nature she can fly off the rails very easily. Triggers like a dog barking or whining, all stuff that make it more difficult to control her in public. That's where this mask came into the equation. She had an appointment today at a mobile clinic to get her annual rabies vaccine and the heart worm vaccine, and I knew I was going to be fighting with her through the appointment as these events tend to be a little chaotic at times. The mask did a great job. It fit her right, and though it was restrictive enough to prevent her from barking, it wasn't too aggressive to where it would hurt her. The rubber is soft, and she can breathe very well through the shape of the mask. The straps also make it easy to adjust/tighten, and because it has a top strap, you don't have to sacrifice losing tightness to keep the eyes unrestricted. This was very important because she does have a bit of a stubbier snout, so I worried it would be digging into her eyes. Still, I felt comfortable tightening it on her for this reason to make it more difficult for her to fight it. The mask is also very light, so if they're distracted enough they'll forget about it being there. Sure enough when vaccine time came around, the mask combined with my control of her kept her on good behavior, and it greatly reduced escalation. Even as she was getting her shots and a blood sample taken, she was calm as I kept reassuring her. I just had to make sure I kept discouraging her from trying to rip it off her face, but it was giving her enough of a tough time that a couple of stern "No's" were settling things down. She wasn't able to get it off once through the event. To the lady that wrote the review accusing this mask of killing one of her pups: I am sorry you had to experience such unfortunate circumstances, however I will be blunt as a responsible dog father and tell you straight up that part of that might've been a fail on your end in controlling your pet. I can't blame the dog itself for having tendencies as I understand and explained that my dog can be the same way sometimes, but that's where it's your duty to step in and make sure YOU as the owner have full control. Either of making sure the situation was contained or planned, or of having full control and restraint of the dog beforehand. One restrictive device wasn't going to make all the difference on that, especially on a bigger, known to be aggressive dog.

**Q: What size should i get for a sharpei?**
A: Hi, this muzzle doesn't fit the short snout dog, such as sharpei and bulldog. Please refer to the given video on how to measure your dog's snout circumference and snout length.

**Q: I have pit bull mix he's 45lbz this says xl but I feel like that be too big. Any input?**
A: Our dog is 60-65 pounds and it fits fine. He is also pit mix. Not sure how it would fit 45 pounds.

**Q: Dog snout is longer then the measurement for circumference coincides with what then?**
A: The measurements are exact. If your dog's snout is longer then it will not fit. You will probably have to go to a customized muzzle

**Q: Is the "scavenging" model different than the Ultra model?**
A: Don't know! I had a muzzle made just for my dog to keep her from chewing up all the plants in my garden!

Good durability product. Easy for the dog to breathe in and out of the nice cage. Very easy to remove with the quick latch if needed. My dog can still bark through it so it does not stand up to its name barkless muzzle. This product also runs small in size. I have a lab Plott hound mix about 109 pounds, I had to go up to a large for him for it to fit comfortably. The head strap fits snug behind his ears, which he does not like.
