Review: Very Good Battery Tester - If you're looking to test 6v batteries separately, this isn't for you. At the time of my purchase, I was just thinking about all the 12v batteries I have in all my vehicles and toys (as my wife outs it). I purchased this piece of equipment in May of 2024 and totally forgot I had it until recently when my truck wouldn't start. Then I had an aha moment and remembered that I had this battery tester. I found that one of the batteries in my truck was bad. I also tested my other vehicles and found that I have two more batteries in other vehicles that will probably need to be replaced when the weather gets cold due to their age. Unfortunately, I can't test my 6v deep cycle batteries separately since this tool won't test 6v batteries. Anyway, this battery tester can test any 12v battery, along with a few different testing modes/applications and various types of batteries. I really like this battery tester since I no longer have to take the battery to somewhere else to get it tested. I can also print the test results and keep those results either with the tested vehicle or a file folder. Unfortunately, you have to record the vehicle tested, the date of the test and whatever info you want to write on the printed test receipt to keep test results straight. Would I buy it again, most likely, but would like to have a battery tester that could also test 6v batteries. TOPDON has a BT600 Plus which can test 6v batteries too. Testing is very simple and from what I can see, it's quite accurate. Keep in mind, you should charge your battery for 24 hours or at least till you know your battery is completely charged before testing.

**Q: Is this an appropriate tester for the 12-volt battery in an electric vehicle?**
A: Hello, TOPDON BT600 battery test allows you to test batteries in the vehicles, but it only allows you to test 12V & 24V Lead-Acid batteries. Any further questions, feel free to contact us.

**Q: What type of ink is required for the printer to work?**
A: It's not the ink...it has no ink... it's the paper.  This is an impression printer, and its the paper that makes the image.  The paper is formulated like a carbon paper.  All you do is to replace the rolls of paper.. which are always available because other testers of this type use that paper.

**Q: Approximately how many tests can you print out per roll?**
A: Hello, you can print out around 80 times per roll. TOPDON BT600 battery tester comes with three rolls of printer paper, of which one is installed in the tester and the other two are in the box. If you're looking to test 6v batteries separately, this isn't for you.
