We use them with all our cups and glasses. In the picture you will you can see the color and sparkle are still there after many washes.

A: Possible depending on how tall they need to be.  They work perfect with Starbucks cups.

A: Just cut them with any serrated knife and use a lighter on the edges to smooth out and get rid of any flakes that occur during cutting

**Q: Which ones are people buying for the Starbucks cups?**
A: I use these for my Starbucks cups and they work perfectly!

**Q: Can they be used for hot beverages like lattes or hot chocolate?**
A: They are better for cold but could be used for hot liquid. I imagine plastic is not the best for hot drinks.

Study plastic straws. I hand wash these but tested them for durability in the dishwasher and they held up just fine. Length of the straws is just fine for what I use them for.
