Not sure how that person came to that conclusion. I have thick hair that is below my shoulders. When I would wrap my hair in a towel, it would never stay put. The hair turban has been a great addition to my bath routine. I can put the turban on and move freely without the wrap coming undone. The microfiber fabric absorbed more of the water remaining in my hair. When I take the turban off, my hair is ready to be blown dry. I love these and purchased a second set to share with my daughter and daughter in laws.
