Review: Great fish net for aquariums!!! - Folks, I'll keep it short and sweet, since it is an aquarium fish net we are talking about! LOL I had to replace my old small aquarium fish net after 30 years of service (it ripped). This new one is just as high quality as the original at a great price!!! I have another bigger fish net, but mostly - over the years - I usually just need a small aquarium net to get a dead fish off the filter intake tubes or something like that.. This item is exactly what I need.. Functional, proper handle length, and well constructed to help me 'catch a dead fish' without upsetting the entire rest of my 75 gallon aquarium.. 5 stars!!!

A: I don't think this net is big enough. If you turn out the lights a bird won't fly. locate her turn off lights then put a towel over her. That is what I used to do with my parakeet when it escaped. If you gently wrap the towel around her she is less likely to hurt her wings, or bite you.

**Q: Is this net soft enough for an axolotl?**
A: It’s like any other fish net. It’s not extra soft. If you want a extra soft net you need a brine shrimp net.

This aquarium net is very useful for routine tank maintenance and moving fish when needed. The mesh is soft enough that it doesn’t harm delicate fins, and it catches debris easily during cleaning. I like that it feels lightweight and easy to control inside the tank. It also rinses clean without holding odors. On the downside, the handle is shorter than I expected, which makes it harder to reach the bottom of deeper tanks. The frame could also be a bit sturdier.
