**Q: Can you cock with it?**
A: I assume you mean cook, so yes, that is why they call it a mess kit.

**Q: Is this kit covered in cosmoline when shipped?**
A: Yes Justin, but only a thin coating both in and outside which was not at all difficult to remove. A mild detergent + a weak alkaline solution were all that were needed.  No permanent post treatment stain and damage whatsoever on the lightweight aluminium. Amazing!
