(a medical issue means I have to lay and rest for much of the day.) So I was resting just on a carpet on a floor and nothing else, and eventually...after a few months of that I suddenly began having back and pretty moderate tailbone pain to where it was painful to even sit down or lay on the floor at all. I realized I needed to have some cushioning for when I rest so I began researching floor mattressses. I picked this one because I also cannot move much wieght so I couldnt get one that was huge or too thick as it would weigh too much and be too difficult to move, but I also still needed some support and comfort so not super-thin either. This one was perfect as filling both needs.The 3-inch I got is about 7.5 pounds, so each section is only about 2.5 pounds, so not too bad too move around, even for a temporarily disabled person. Its also not too wide so it doesn't take up too much space, so I have space for my walker thing to get by, all I have to do is fold it up and lean it against the wall - and done. So helpful, to have a bed-like comfort, right on the floor, and easily moveable.and best of all of course..is the comfort. I ended up sleeping on this thing for a month as it was more comfortable than my 700 dollar memory foam matress. (after many months of use that one began sagging in the middle, and I started to get some back pain from it, will likely return it within the 12 months.) This one felt way more comfortable so...I began sleeping on the floor for a bit...and my sleep was very thankful. So now I have an amazing rest area for every day use, and if I need it, a back-up mattress that is super comfortable. (note: after more than 1.5 months sleeping on it every night, I started to notice some slight wear, but its still super comfortable, so its likely not meant to be used as an every night mattress, but for more casual rest, and back-up/portable mattress.) Its way way way more comfortable than the sleeping bags I tried at first, and even an inflatable mattress.
