Addressing things from other reviews: my unit did not have any issue with smell. Assembly is a great throwback to all of who grew up playing with Lincoln Logs - it's amazingly simple and clever with no tools needed. Outside of the very first step, I needed no assistance. In terms of sturdiness, it's fairly solid. I'm pretty sure if I messed around with records on the shelves while I had another album playing there would be skipping, so it's not a solid brick. But there's no wobble during normal use. Seems about right for the price. Zero gripes, and my turntable space looks slick - certainly would recommend.

Looks great and easy to put together! Super sturdy. Definitely recommend. It goes together like a puzzle, there are no mechanical fasteners.
