The only thing that needs changing is the bolts should be stainless steel. My old seal had galvanized bolts which were so rusted they couldn’t be removed when the well pump died. I’ve tried contacting Merrill but the website option doesn’t work and they don’t list a phone number. I found SS metric bolts online and replaced the galvanized ones. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but with one drawback (which I think I solved) *by T***Y on April 1, 2025* The product looks and expands great to seal. The only BIG drawback is if I forget, or a well service company doesn't know, if you remove both bolts from either side, the bottom halves can fall down into the well.I just got an idea how to solve that problem! If I (or you) thread a nut on the bottom of the bolts and use RED Locktite on the threads, the bolts can be loosened all the way without fear of turning the bolt all the way out. I didn't return it yet, so I may try this without the locktite for a test fit.
