It not only fits and protects my ukes exceptionally well but is also really nice looking. I use fabric cases in the warmer months but like the solid cases in the winter. I put the two way humidifying packs (Boveda) in the solid case with the ukes and it holds the humidity steady. I like the insurance that the wood on my solid and/or solid top ukes will be less likely to split from becoming overly dry. The cost of the Kala case is only a little more but in my opinion, worth it. Review: Stursdy not too heavy - I have a good tenor ukulele and a Kala Makala tenor that I occasionally take on airplanes. I have a case for my good one, but not for the Makala. This case fits the Makala well, but is a hair large for my main tenor ukulele. There is virtually no movement by the uke while in the case. It is super sturdy and the hardware is legit. It also happens to be stunning as well. I will say that in hand, it has more of a dark blue/gray tint to it which I happen to like. As others have stated, the compartment is TINY...it will fit a strap at most. Mentioning that, mine came with a very nice strap that attaches to the case itself. It also comes with 2 keys. Kala has nailed this one folks.
