This puts a lot of pressure on the casting itself by the time it compresses enough to lock the boom arm in place. Actually it didn't lock that well. I installed a bushing under the locking handle that would compress washers directly against the boom bracket. I drilled out the hole in the outer casting to allow the bushing to float freely and transfer all of the pressure. I also installed a bushing in the pivot hole of the boom arm casting to allow it to rotate freely. Now it locks tightly and rotates easily into position.
