Review: Good product - They seem sturdy and of good quality, haven't had a chance to use yet.
Review: Disappointingly useless after a very short time! - Has sufficient strength to punch a starter in soft metal or wood. Haven't tried them on steel though. They do include a set of replacement punch points. Overall, just what I was looking for. Follow-up - 6/28/25: Pretty much as useless as my old one - neither of these punches has any impact release. Still feel the the spring tension but they are not locking and releasing as a normal spring punch should have. Outside my window of return so they really aren't even good for a standard center punch. Best to look for a higher quality spring punch.

**Q: Can these punch thick steel that have been heat treated or in the forge?**
A: I haven't tried it on steel like that, but they're supposed to be able to make a punch on anything, and it says you're able to change the strength of the punch. I'm sure they'll work. They're pretty heavy duty.

**Q: How do you adjust the tension**
A: Dear buyer  The spring impact power is adjustable , on the knurled sections. Turn the barrels in opposite clockwise/counter-clockwise direction to tighten/loosen the sections. Fully closed together is full tension and power of impact

**Q: What is the diameter of the punch end ?**
A: The 5inch  Punch  is  4MM   ,The  6inch Punch is 6MM.

**Q: What is the thread size for the tip of the 5 inch punch?**
A: Use procision measuring tool
