The print is lighter in color and brighter now, making it much easier to read the letter tiles when viewing them at an angle. The Deluxe Scrabble box is sturdy and to close the box properly it is necessary to have all of the contents lined up properly. If you don't do this the box is going to break and stuff will be sprung loose. Fortunately, I have enjoyed the aesthetics of the board and its functionality and that encourages me to protect, not just by packing it properly but by insuring that it gets properly stored in the cupboard. The removable top piece features the game board. The base provides for storage of all the game components and has a round lazy susan feature attached to the underside. The lazy susan mechanism is about 9.5" in diameter and raises the entire cabinet about 1/4", allowing it to spin freely. The lazy susan also has rubber feet that keep the cabinet from moving around on the table. I gave it to my partner for his 80th and he loves it. It arrived earlier than expected which was great and he loves being able to turn the board to face each player. Although the tiles are dark they match the wood of the board and arent plastic. The tile bag is embroidered velvet which adds a touch of luxury. My only suggestion to the maker is to improve on how the board could be stored.
