Only time will tell how it will last, but that layer might start to flake off in a few years if being stored in extreme heat. Fit perfectly and zipped closed nicely. Material is fairly thick, the zippers seem to be well made and have a good pull tab on them for easy zipping. For nearly $30, its well worth the money compared to others out there. Big difference between this one and the others out there. The mattress stores so much better now and is well protected and can of course, transport it much easier now.
