I bought this in 2018 and have been able to use it through this last hot summer and will use it until it turns very cold. I would say it works extremely well 3 seasons. It actually does breath and doesn't overheat but is also warm in chilly weather. I dont understand why it works so well but it does. It washes and dries well and easily in my stack washer dryer which is not huge and as my dogs love it too that is a huge plus. I wash it and dry on delicate settings but it does not take forever to dry. It is a huge bargain as well. Someone complained about a smell... well I let it air out for a while but this is no reason not to get it.
