First off the hold really is medium hold and not the medium hold until it dries or something brushes against it like some of other brands. I have literally run may hand through my hair and it has gone back to wear it was or I was able to mold it back fairly easily. It is reminiscent of what all those hair gel and pomade commercials promise you on but don't deliver on. It also doesn't leave any greasy residue. The smell is overall neutral and not overpowering. It is water soluble so it rinse out after one wash and I don't have to lather more than once. Great product, would recommend.
