I have used the rod 3 times now and can say with confidence that the MH is correctly categorized. 7.5' length is nice , wish it was 8' to be honest. The guides run true and work perfectly even with union knots sliding through if you run a 5' leader like I do. The reel seat needed a little readjustment after the first few fish caught but that's just a quick twist and normal thing to happen to a new rod ( hasn't needed tuning since ). The handle is a nice length and affords a good fulcrum for hoisting those big reds or snook into the boat. I paired my rod with a Shimano Ci4+ xg and love the balance and lightness. I run 20# braided line with a 5' mono leader and cast about 80 yards easily or flip up under mangroves 20' away with a 1/4 oz. jig or medium shiner. If you're wanting to cast really long distance go with the Medium rod not the MH. After having this rod for a while now and landing quite a few fish with it I can say I would suggest it to anyone in the market for one. I wouldn't be scared to use this rod on a tarpon either, if I could just get one to bite! lol ### ⭐⭐ This fishing rod is made out of poor quality materials *by R***O on Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2017* This fishing rod is made out of poor quality materials. This is a 7'5" medium heavy,. I was trying to set up my fishing reel for the fist time. The top EVA handle that locks the reel in place teared up by simply twisting it until it locks the reel. I didn't even get to fish with it once. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering a second rod before knowing how poor quality the fist one is. The second one is 7' medium. Most likely, I will have to return the second one as well. I don't believe this is a one time defective rod. This is most likely a factory defect. I hope I'm wrong. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great rod! Also purchase a heavy action in a bait casting setup with a okuma Komodo reel with 25lb braid line.
