I use this product to make fabric bowls, because of it stiffness, it helps my bowls keep its shape. It can be used to make lamp shades. I fuse two pieces of fabric together then make my bowls. I don't think this product is used for projects like yours. You can go to Joanna's Fabric Store and find things to add trim to skirts like your doing. I do not sew clothing so I'm not really knowledgeable about doing things like your doing. I do know though that this product is for heavy duty fusing. It may be to stiff and keep your skirt from moving freely. So for me I would not use it for attaching lace to denim. Plus the glue on the fuse may leak through the lace. Then you have an iron to clean.
