This versatile product offers a permanent solution without the need for sewing, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced crafters alike. Its ease of use and durability make it a popular choice, although there are some considerations to keep in mind regarding its application and suitability for certain fabrics. Pros: Strong Adhesion: HeatnBond UltraHold provides a reliable and strong bond, making it suitable for a variety of projects, including fabric and embellishment applications. Easy to Use: The adhesive is easy to apply with an iron, and the instructions are clear, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced crafters. Versatile: It works well with various fabrics and materials, giving users flexibility in their crafting projects. Durable: The bond created by HeatnBond UltraHold is durable and withstands washing, ensuring that projects remain intact over time. No Sewing Required: Ideal for those who want to avoid sewing, as it creates a permanent bond without the need for stitching. Cons: Not Reusable: Once applied, the bond is permanent, so any mistakes cannot be easily corrected without damaging the fabric. Thicker Bond: The adhesive can create a slightly thicker bond, which may not be suitable for very delicate fabrics or projects requiring a more subtle attachment. Heat Sensitivity: Requires heat to activate, which may limit its use with heat-sensitive fabrics or materials. Overall, HeatnBond UltraHold is a reliable and versatile adhesive for various crafting projects, offering a strong and durable bond with ease of use. However, it may not be suitable for all types of fabrics or projects due to its permanent nature and heat sensitivity.
Review: No-Sew Solution That Actually Holds – Perfect for Quick Repairs & Patches - I’m not much of a crafter, but I’m a big fan of anything that makes a "no-sew" repair possible. I picked up this HeatnBond UltraHold Value Pack to handle some patches on work gear and a few of my daughter's school projects, and it’s been a total time-saver. Application & Ease of Use: If you can use a household iron, you can use this. The instructions are straightforward: iron it onto your patch, peel the backing, and iron it onto the garment. The bond is near-instant. I used it to reinforce some thinning fabric on a tool bag, and it took less than five minutes to get a permanent-feeling hold. Strength & Durability: The "UltraHold" Promise: They aren't kidding about the name. Once this stuff is heat-set, it doesn't want to move. I’ve used "Lite" versions before that peeled at the corners, but the UltraHold creates a very stiff, secure bond. Wash Test: We’ve run a few treated items through the laundry on a cold cycle, and so far, there’s zero lifting or peeling. It holds up significantly better than fabric glue. Practicality: Value: This 5-yard roll is massive. For a few bucks, you have enough adhesive to last through years of small repairs or several large projects. Versatility: It works on almost anything—denim, cotton, and even some heavier canvas. Pros: No Sewing Required: Perfect for those of us who don't want to break out a needle and thread. Permanent Bond: Much stronger than standard iron-on adhesives. Huge Roll: The "Value Pack" size is a great bargain for the price. Cons: Stiffness: Because it’s so strong, it does make the fabric a bit stiff. I wouldn't use it on very delicate or flowing clothing, but for patches or heavy-duty gear, it’s perfect. Permanent: Once it's on, it's on. You really have to get your alignment right the first time because you won't be peeling it back up easily. Final Verdict: This is a "must-have" for any household junk drawer or workshop. Whether you're fixing a hem, adding a patch to a gear bag, or helping with a school project, it provides a professional-level bond without the hassle of a sewing machine.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this would with patches and Girl Scout uniforms?**
A: I have a small business making patches and I use this product. It works quite well.

**Q: Is this a double-sided fusible?**
A: Yes it is double sided fusible webbing but there is paper on one side only. Then after you iron it on to the fabric you peel off the paper and iron it on to the backing fabric.

**Q: Has anyone used this for felt projects? I'm making a felt quiet book for my daughter and would really love to avoid all the sewing.**
A: For a felt quiet book, I'd use a fabric glue, rather than an iron-on product. Fewer steps, easier to know if you're positioning things where you want them.

**Q: I want to attach a cluny lace trim to a denim shirt. Will this show a white background behind the lace and hide the denim of the shirt?**
A: Hello , I don't think it will hide the denim. The thing about this product is once it is ironed on something it is clear. You may want to use another product for your project. This is very stiff when it is heat set on fabric. I use this product to make fabric bowls, because of it stiffness, it helps my bowls keep its shape. It can be used to make lamp shades. I fuse two pieces of fabric together then make my bowls. I don't think this product is used for projects like yours. You can go to Joanna's Fabric Store and find things to add trim to skirts like your doing. I do not sew clothing so I'm not really knowledgeable about doing things like your doing. I do know though that this product is for heavy duty fusing. It may be to stiff and keep your skirt from moving freely. So for me I would not use it for attaching lace to denim. Plus the glue on the fuse may leak through the lace. Then you have an iron to clean. If you do try to fuse your lace to denim be sure to use a piece of parchment paper to protect your iron and keep it clean.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable and Easy to Use – A Crafting Staple!
*by S***! on June 20, 2025*

Heat n Bond Iron-On is a total game changer for no-sew projects. I’ve used it on several DIYs — from hemming curtains to appliquéing fabric shapes — and it works like a charm every time. It bonds quickly with just a household iron, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The adhesive holds up well through washes (just make sure to follow care directions), and it saves so much time when you don’t want to sew or need a quick fix. I especially love it for crafting — great for attaching patches or making custom T-shirts. Highly recommend keeping some on hand if you’re into sewing, crafting, or just want a fast fabric solution without the hassle of a needle and thread.
