Review: A high quality product at a bargain price - I carefully reviewed both the positive and negative reviews on desertcart before purchasing this set. I could not be happier with the product I received. I went ahead and seasoned them a few times after receiving, although I'm not sure that was necessary. They maintain heat well, and cook evenly. I've used on both the stove top and in the oven. The dutch oven cooked my sourdough bread to perfection.
Review: Cooking to near perfection - These cast iron pots and skillets are great! They do the cooking to near perfection. My advice is to take care of them as described being specific with the instructions provided. I kept these pans out and available with each one nesting with the provided paper that was with the product so they all fit together well. These are not suitable for acidic dishes nor leaving the lid on for too long after cooling thus creating condensation thereby potentially rusting the underside of the lid or even the exposed pot. It doesn’t matter while cooking or heating just afterwards. They are heavy as expected, safe using your favorite potholder, as well as are very versatile for so many dishes. Yesterday I braised, marinated and cooked short ribs, potatoes and carrots in another pan and cornbread in another size to create my own feast. Be creative and know you’ll get some iron added to your diet.
