Bought a mitt separately and followed a YouTube tutorial. I removed it from my face after 2 hours but could have left it on a bit longer. Didn't cause any break outs on my sensitive acne prone skin. For my body I slept with it on and showered in the morning. No staining of my clothes or sheets at all. Looks best on day 2 or 3. It's lasts about 7 days total. Maybe you can extend that with better application and care but for my first time with no prior experience I'd recommend. Smell is a light pleasant tropical/coconut smell. I am very pale and this was a good match for my skin. Didn't make me look weird or orange.
