Multiple patterns are possibly either moving or static and can be projected to fill a small to moderate sized room. A mounting bracket is included so that the unit could be placed on a wall for regular use. The remote is useful as long as you are within a few feet of the light itself and allows you to cycle through a variety of effects. As with any device like this to 'see' the beams of light through air you will need to provide some form of aerosolized particles such as a light fog or mist (not provided).
