I wouldn’t use the butter melter at the top. I find it didn’t really get butter on the popcorn that well and ended making the dome harder to clean. Its a little awkward in retrieving the popcorn since you must flip the whole thing over, and the lid that goes on the top has a tendency to pop off when doing this, leaking butter fat all over. I am satisfied with it for the price and i use it often.
