That said, I had to adjust the harness to its smallest possible size to get it to fit. It's snug enough that I have no worries about him wrestling out of it. However, if you're shopping for a dog that's anything less than 35 pounds, I'd probably look for a different harness since this one is not available in a small. There are two pockets, one on each side, that when fully open could probably hold a pair of sandals each. They sit flush when not used, but expand out a fair bit when needed - certainly enough space for poo bags/extra collars, bottle of water, etc.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice backpack but not for tougher terrain

I like this backpack a lot as far as weight and comfort for my dog. He's a 70lb lab and it fits nicely and stays in place. The pockets aren't very big, but enough for a long weekend's worth of his food and baggies. It looks great on him; the green is a nice camo shade. However, I am disappointed in the quality of fabric used. I've taken him on the Appalachian trail (nepa stretch) with it twice now. Each time the bag ended up with a straight tear along the fabric's grain a good 2" long. The first time I figured it was a fluke, and covered it with a patch. The second time became annoying. Both times I don't know how it happened. He stays on trail with me, so he isn't wandering through brush, but he must've gone against something to tear it twice. Now, I am afraid I will have I to mend his pack each time we go out. Overall, this is a great lightweight, easy-outing type backpack, but if you are doing anything long term or rougher terrain, I'd suggest upgrading to a better pack.
