## Description

Do you have aluminum framed, vertical or horizontal sliding windows with loose-fitting, worn or missing locks? Besides adding a “new look” to your windows with a fresh set of locking hardware, these sash locks can help add peace of mind by restoring the security features on your sliding windows. These locks feature a design that allows them to lock aluminum-framed single-hungs, double-hungs and horizontal sliding windows without the need of a keeper. Each lock features a cam-type locking mechanism that mounts on the checkrail of the innermost sash and engages into the checkrail of the outermost sash. The upper, outermost sash on vertical sliding windows determines if it is a “single hung” or “double hung.” If the upper, outermost sash is non-movable, then it is a single hung window. A “double hung” window refers to both sash having the ability to slide up and down for ventilation purposes, and these sash locks can fit on both model types, in addition to some left/right horizontal sliding windows. The locks are constructed of diecast zinc and come in a corrosion-resistant, industry standard, bronze-painted finish to match other existing hardware that may already be in the home or office. Depending on the size of the sash, these locks can be used as singles or in pairs. Each set includes one lock, installation fasteners and simple instructions. Installation of these locks is quick and easy and can be done with a simple handheld Phillips head screwdriver. Other design features include a 3/8 inch latch projection, cam-action fastening, and 2-1/4 inch mounting hole centers. Compare the style and dimensions of this lock to those required on your sliding windows and order yours today.

Review: Fit my window perfectly - This lock fit and looks exactly like the locks on my windows. They also seem to be made with stronger materials so shouldn't break. Very easy to replace
Review: Super easy replacement security for you home. Highly recommended. - Did not know these where even available until I just thought (well I'll see). I had bought a house that had a broken latch. No big deal, the other one worked. Then about a month later it broke. Found these on desertcart and seen that there are at least two differant measurements between the mounting screws. I measured my old ones and ordered accordingly. Mine came with screws that where smaller than what came out of my window frame but the holes in the latches worked with my slightly larger screws. Super easy install and they work just like they should. Take about a minute and a phillips screw driver to replace.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Replacement
*by A***S on July 14, 2025*

The Prime-Line F 2590 Sash Lock was a perfect replacement for the latch that came with my home's vertical sliding windows. One of the original latches was bent, and threatening to shear away, and this latch worked perfectly. The dimensions were exactly as described, it fit so exact that you wouldn't know it was a replacement, and it even latches better than before. The window closed and latched securely. It is a nice value for the money, and I would definitely buy it again.
