## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the U shaped "tail" on the back end of this cutter?**
A: The U-shaped part is used to press down on the collar on Push-To-Connect fittings to release the tubing from the fitting.

**Q: Does it cut silicone rubber**
A: I used it to cut small diameter pex tubing.  I think it would work best on plastic material that is fairly rigid.  Silicone rubber that is easily squished would cut but the cut may be less than perfectly clean and square.

**Q: Does this cut Silicone and santoprene rubber?**
A: For me this made installing an under sink RO system a breeze! This cutter cut clean, square ends that didn't/haven't leaked at all. I've been using the RO system for about two years and when I replaced the filters in February, I was able to disconnect and reconnect each tube without having to cut/trim any of the tubes. The little 'fork' on the end makes it very easy to hold the fitting when fitting the lock collars. A great tool!

**Q: Are Replacement blades available for this tool.**
A: Not that I know of.  These are so reasonable, it would be better just to order a new cutter
