The 199140-0 Guide rail is suitable for Makita Plunge saws, circular saws, jigsaws and routers. The 199140-0 has a replaceable splinter guard and features anti-slip strips on the underside with top running strips for a smooth guide. The 199140-0 can be joined to another guide rail when paired with the correct connector (not included). Review: Used with a 120V Makita plunge/track saw. I combine several of these (I have 4 different lengths) with the Makita splice strips to get a variety of lengths. I have used up to 16 foot runs (for long perimeter board cuts on a composite deck picture frame style install) and obtained laser-straight cuts that look very good. It goes without saying that shorter lengths even easier as there is no splice. One thing to note is that these come with soft sponge rubber strips on the bottom that are what hold them in place ... they work amazingly well not needing any other adhesion (at least on Timbertech boards). On the long runs I still added a bit of Gorilla tape just to be sure I didn't get a shift, but that was probably overkill. I bought the Makita bags to carry these, and protect them, and they work well. However, the ends are quite sharp and subject to impact denting - so I also 3D printed some end caps that I put on as well just for good measure (a variety of different ones are available on the various STL free sites). These end caps can also be purchased pre-made online if you search a bit. Combining these with the Makita (fit Festool as well apparently) plunge saw largely eliminates the need for my circular/table saw, and in my opinion is definitely a lot safer. But the arithmetic says you will come up short. 39+55=94”. 8 feet is 96”. Plus you need additional rail length above the 96” to support the saw to start your cut and additional length at the end of the cut also to support the saw. **Q: On first run the saw cut into the little bit of rubber that was sticking out from under the track, is that normal. ?** A: Yes, this is normal. The rubber is trimmed on the first cut so you know exactly where the saw is going to cut on. The rubber strip is also replaceable if it get damaged from cuts that bind up the blade or is the saw does not stay on the the track the entire cut or tips. **Q: Hi, can i use the guide rail with xsr01 model?** A: No. That saw (rear handle) circular saw will not work with any of the Makita guide rails. Only the Makita plunge saw and two of their other circular saws will work with the guide rail. Saw must have a guide rail base. **Q: Will this work with my Wren Track saw?** A: I know for sure that Festool and Makita work on this rail.
