But 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon of water had to be run through the filter to get to clean clear flow. The DARK grey water that came from the first of three filters was a first for me. I have replaced filters in 3 different refrigerators with different suppliers of these filters and never have I had visibly contaminated water come out of the dispenser like with this filter. I doubled the water volume flush to about 1.5 gallons and water quality and taste seem ok. I will try the second filter when the time comes, and if it produces the same volume of grey water, I will toss the third and never use the brand again. The freezer and deli tray were full of water, when it started leaking gallons of water accumulated over the period of time. You will lose half of the money while returning it, because seller is very uncooperative.
