Instructions on assembly** A: Based on my attempt to wash the original filter I would not recommend washing it. They contain paper. Assembly instructions: Remove the old filter assembly and separate the paper filter from the metal grid which will be reused. It simply slides out of the paper filter. Slide the grid into a new filter and put it back in the dustbuster.
