I expected this gel to also work well and it does. I have curly frizzy hair with varying stand textures and thicknesses. Most days I would rather wear my hair up because I got tired of using LOTS of inexpensive and cheap products that don't work well leaving me unhappy and feeling like poo when I wanted to wear my natural curly hair down. This gel may be pricey, but you don't need to use much of it and it does not have as much of a residue as most gels. It really helps define my curls and leaves then looking silky and manageable instead of crunchy, sticky, and messy.
