Review: Not Perfect, but Very Convenient - TLDR: Not actually tangle free, but still so much more convenient than 2 leashes. 100% worth the money if you have small dogs. Mine lasted 3 years of beagle abuse, and I'm buying another today. I've had mine for just under 3 years, used for my beagles (15-20 lbs). It's definitely not tangle free. It's actually a pretty active process of twisting the handle to keep the tangles out. Despite that, it makes my life so much easier from having to take two separate leashes. I'm able to hold one handle and control both lines all while still giving my dogs plenty of room to sniff. In terms of durability, it finally broke (50%) yesterday. The rubber coating on the handle started to wear down and fall off over time, but that's not a big deal for me. After 3 years of my menace dog sprinting full force and the line catching at the end of its length, it finally broke the locking mechanism, but only on her side. It did not snap, it's just the locking mechanism. It still works as a retractable leash, I just can't lock her in place anymore. The other side still works perfectly. I would say 3 years of abuse for $35 is a pretty great deal. Definitely recommend if you have two smaller dogs.

This way they each have their own lead and i have control of each one. took me about a minute to get the hang of it and I love it!!! our pwalks are so much easier now! and it gives them plenty of room to roam unless i lock it. the only “bad” thing i see is the line could be tougher. my dogs are little so not an issue for me , but for bigger dogs it might wear out after a few years. but if your dog is a leash trained that shouldn’t be a problem.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What if one dog goes around a post on one side and one on the other or one walks behind me and comes up the other side?**
A: first off you work hard to steer them to the same side and if not just pull the other one around you can lock each leash so if one starts to go around you just lock it and steer them around.  Not too hard to get the hang of the reduced length does make it a little easier to handle I walk 3 dogs at once with no real issues 2 small 10LB dogs on the Dual and then a 65lb on a longer flexi leash.

**Q: One of the leashes broke. Can you replace the leash part? Or do I need to purchase a whole new unit?**
A: Mine seemingly broke inside the handle. I opened it up and studied the engineering. I was able to put it back together and it works perfect again. The actual fabric leashes are wound up separately in the small round attachment. I didn’t open that, but my guess is you could feed a new leash in if it was the exact width.

**Q: Can you use your own leash with this?**
A: Yes you can, the fabric part of the leash is 23" including the clip , if you clip your standard leash to this clip you now have a leash that is 23" longer than your standard leash.  If you extend the leash fully with your leash attached it will be about 10ft. longer than your standard leash. It still works fine this way. Also if you get a large carabiner clip you can clip them to your shopping cart handle if you go to a store they are allowed in.

**Q: Anyone know the difference between this leash & the $10 more expensive leash from same company? (They look the same)**
A: I have the one that you posted. I really like it. However, I believe it is only 10 feet long and wish you was a longer leash. It has duo push button so you can stop one dog at a time. Not sure at the one that is cheaper.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the idea of this but....

Pros: This leash is actually great, functionally it works, it makes hiking with my dogs much easier, they are both sniffers and this gives some flexibility to sniff without being on top of each other and getting all tangled. I have a young dog and an old man, having some space is good for them. Cons: It does promote bad behavior in dogs, my dogs are all over the place when they're on this thing. I would never use this in a crowded area or taking them to the vet. You have less control of your dogs. For my situation it's for hiking rocky terrain and I don't fall from being pulled. I do not recommend this if you're trying to train or instill good behavior with your dogs. -The pictures don't show this, but once the retractable leash is extended about 2 feet, it turns into a shoelace type material. I thought the entire retractable leash was the orange and green material/thickness. It's not. I included a picture to show what I mean. This is definitely not a heavy duty leash, even a small dog could pull this and break it. I don't see it lasting long. Overall I returned it, I used it once, it was great, but know it's only a matter of time before it breaks. I think this is good for older/low energy dogs. I wish it could work for me!
