My old bulb burned out a few months ago and I bought this one to replace it. A little more expensive then your generic brand but I always thought Philips was a good brand so it's worth the extra money. Straight forward installation, went in smoothly. Its brighter than my old bulb which is a plus, maybe my old bulb was just going out.
