It is very difficult to open this computer to get to the RAM slots and hard drive. There are 2 RAM slots, one of which is populated with a 4 GB module and one that is free. Remove the bottom cover with the instructions below.You have to remove 12 screws on the bottom. 8 exposed, 2 under the battery, and 2 under the rear rubber pads that you have to peel up. The rubber pads are near the battery compartment and display hinge. All of the screws are the same size.After you unscrew the 12 screws, remove the DVD drive. Then pry the bottom from the rest of the computer. You will need to use a plastic pry tool. If you use a small metal screw driver, you will mar the plastic case. Start at the front or side and pry apart just the front and the sides. Once you have the front and sides apart, pull the bottom off like opening a door where the back is the hinge. Do not try to pry apart the back. Just pry apart the front and sides and swing the bottom cover off like the back is a hinge. **Q: does this labtop comes with front or back camera?** A: Front Camera **Q: does this come with accident protection or any sort of warranty?** A: No I didn't see anything of that sort but you can send it back within 15 days upon arrival so my advice will be to use it and do whatever u need to do within that time **Q: Does this laptop come pre-loaded with any software, windows, etc?** A: Yes, it’s already has windows 10 installed. Having the large screen and a number pad is not something I was looking for but having them now really makes me appreciate them. I really wish it had illuminated keys or the little spotlight like old IBM's used to have. This is more of a personal thing I guess since it's not HP's fault that I work in the dark. I use this computer for schoolwork exclusively so I have no idea how it handles applications requiring a lot of processor capability. The first thing I did when I received it was delete any and all McAfee garbage as it was slowing the computer to a crawl.
