This feature makes it very convenient to access items quickly without digging around in your purse. I kept my passport there with plenty of room to spare. This purse is large enough that it will easily hold your wallet, phone, cosmetics, glasses and keys without issues. Yet it doesn't feel heavy across your body. It is small, light and attractive. I've only had one for a month, so I can't speak for how long it will last, but at $16, it is a great choice. Update: After a year, I finally managed to break the crossbody strap of the purse. The purse still looks great, leather looks great, zippers work great, tassels are in great shape too. Again 16 bucks for a year of daily use is a steal.
