The first time I received a large compartment, 38 oz, as advertised. It did not have tabs on the lids, but they were easy to open and worked well for my needs. Since I was happy with them, I ordered more. This time I got containers with tabs on the lids, but they were obviously not 38 oz. They appear to be the standard size around 28 oz. So I have returned them. I've been doing lunch meal preps for me and my husband. Initially, he thought the containers weren't big enough for his lunches, but now he says the portions are enough. Like the other reviews say, the lids are hard to open. I understand how some of the containers broke. I'm always careful opening the lid on these containers and I managed to break a corner on one of the lids. We throw these in the dishwasher and they come out fine (no warping).
