**Q: What exactly is the material inside the bag? Makes me a little nervous. Thanks!**
A: The drying material is silica.

**Q: Is there any indication (color change) when it needs reactivation?**
A: The penguin changes color.  I thought that was mentioned in the product description.  I use mine in a safe and it has not needed reactivation yet.

**Q: is it safe to cook food in microwave after recharging the bag?**
A: I usually leave my microwave open for a while to let the excess moisture dissipate or wipe it down with a paper towel. Then I go over the inside with a disposable disinfecting wipe.

**Q: How many times can it be microwaved?**
A: At least 100 times
