I used 4 cauldrons to represent the 4 Harry Potter houses and put a few drops of food coloring at the bottom of each- One Yellow, One Red, One Green, One Blue- and then I added baking soda to the cauldrons to cover up the color. I had the kids take turns going to the “sorting ceremony” where they chose 1 out of 4 of the cauldrons and then they dumped vinegar into the cauldron which allowed it to fizz and reveal their house. Super cute, fun and quick activity! They’re pretty decently made so I decided to rinse them out when we were finished and put them away for any future Halloween parties or occasions where they could be reused.
